When creating a teacher account, SyncEd may collect the following information:

• Middle name, if provided

• Email address
• Username
• Password in protected, hashed form

The information collected by SyncEd is used for account creation, authentication, teacher identification, scheduling, and other school-related system functions.

4. Password Protection

Passwords are stored using password hashing rather than being stored as plain text. Users should still keep their passwords confidential and should not share them with other people.

5. Schedule Information

Teacher-related scheduling information may be stored in the system to support schedule generation, schedule management, and display of the teacher's assigned schedule.

6. Access to Information

Access to teacher and scheduling information should be limited to authorized users and school administrators according to their assigned system roles.

7. Data Accuracy

Users should provide accurate information when creating their accounts. If account information is incorrect, users should contact an authorized administrator for appropriate correction.

8. Data Security

SyncEd is designed to use reasonable technical measures to protect account and scheduling information from unauthorized access. Users are also responsible for protecting their own login credentials.

9. Data Retention

Account and scheduling information may be retained for as long as necessary to support the school's use of the SyncEd system, subject to applicable school policies.

10. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated when necessary to reflect changes to the SyncEd system, school requirements, or privacy practices.

11. Agreement

By checking the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy checkbox during registration, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
